Volodymyr A. Manzhola

Field of research: contemporary international relations, international and European security, foreign policy of Ukraine and France

During 1998-2001 he was the Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in France. Had traineeship and lectured in higher schools and academic institutions of France (the Sorbonne University, Paris-2/"Pantheon-Assa"; Institute of political sciences, French Institute of international relations), Belgium (Free University of Brussels), Great Britain (Royal Institute of International relations/ "Chetem House", London School of Economy), the USA (Harvard University), Bulgaria (South-West Neophit Rylskyi University, Blagoyevgrad), Russia (Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) / "MGIMO", the Russian Academy of Science Institute of Europe, the Russian Academy of Science Institute of world economy and international relations). The member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Scientific Council. The head of the Specialized Academic Council. Awarded with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Honorary reward of the III degree "For essential contribution into the development of Ukrainian diplomacy and successful provision of Ukrainian interests at the international stage" (2004). The author of over 130 scientific publications. Trained 3 Doctors (doctorates) and over 15 Ph.D.s (candidates).

Serhiy P. Halaka

Scientific degree: Ph.D., Doctor of Science (Political Studies)

Position: Professor

Field of research: USA foreign policy, nonproliferation, problems of international and regional security.

 In 1978 he graduated from the International Relations and International Law faculty of the Kyiv Shevchenko State University. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1987 and Doctorate thesis in 2006. He worked as Assistant Professor from 1984, as Associate Professor from 1992, and as Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 2007. Had traineeship in Monterrey University (Monterrey), in Maryland University (College Park city), Harvard University (USA), the Center of international relation studies (CERI, Paris, France). In 2000-2001 he lectured in NATO Defense College (Rome, Italy).  The author of over 70 scientific publications. Trained 3 Ph.D.s (candidates).

Olena A. Koppel

Scientific degree: Ph.D., Doctor of Science (Historical Studies)

Position: Professor

Field of research: political problems of international systems and global development, theory of civilizations, international relations in the Middle East, religious factor in international relations.

In 1977 she graduated from the Historical faculty of the Kyiv Shevchenko State University. She defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1981 and Doctorate thesis in 1999. She worked as Assistant Professor from 1980, as Associate Professor from 1985, and as Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 1999. Had traineeship in the University of Munster (Germany).  In 2000 was declared the best professor of the Kyiv National Shevchenko University. Awarded with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Honorary diploma. The author of over 120 scientific publications. Trained 1 Doctor (Doctorate) and over 20 Ph.D.s (candidates).

Vadym Y. Krushynskyi

Scientific degree: Ph.D., Doctor of Science (Political Studies)

Position: Professor

Field of research: European integration issues, foreign policy of Great Britain, history of international relations, history and foreign policy of Ukraine.

In 1983 he graduated from the International Relations and International Law faculty of the Kyiv Shevchenko State University. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1987 and Doctorate thesis in 2004. He worked as Assistant Professor from 1987, as Associate Professor from 1995, and as Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 2005. Had traineeship in Harvard University (USA), Free University of Brussels (Belgium), Hall University (Great Britain), Oslo University (Norway), York University (Toronto, Canada). The author of over 100 scientific publications. Trained 6 Ph.D.s (candidates).

Olena S. Parkhomchuk

Scientific degree: Ph.D., Doctor of Science (Political Studies)

Position: Professor

Field of research: historic development of international systems, foreign policy of the CIS and Ukraine, problems of war and peace, demilitarization and conversion.

In 1988р. she graduated from the Romanic and Germanic faculty of the Kyiv Shevchenko State University. She defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1992 and Doctorate thesis in 2006. She worked as Assistant Professor from 1992, as Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 1999. Had traineeship in Hall University (Great Britain) in 2001. The author of over 90 scientific publications.

Hryhoriy M. Perepelytsya

Scientific degree: Ph.D., Doctor of Science (Political Studies)

Position: Professor

Field of research: foreign and military policy, military and political conflicts studies.

In 1976 he graduated from Kyiv higher naval college, in 1984 Military Academy named after V.Lenin (obtained military and pedagogical specialty of a specialist-professor of social sciences. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1990 and Doctorate thesis in 1996. From 1984 he worked as a professor in Kyiv higher naval college. From 1995 he was the head of military policy department and from 2003 - Deputy Director of the National Institute of strategic studies. From 2006 – professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department. The author of over 120 scientific publications. Trained 9 Ph.D.s (candidates).

Svitlana V. Andrushchenko

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Political Studies)

Position: Assosiate Professor

Field of research: problems of international and regional security, energy problems in international relations.

In 1998 she graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. She defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 2001. She worked as Assistant Professor from 1998, as Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 2004. Had traineeship in Hall University (Great Britain), 1998, York University (Toronto, Canada), 2002. Specializes in geopolitics, foreign policy of Ukraine, international relations in Africa. In 2003 she was awarded with the diploma of the National Academy of science of Ukraine Presidium, in 2004 – obtained a grant from the President of Ukraine for young scientists. The author of over 70 scientific publications.

Maksym S. Kamenetskyi

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Historical Studies)

Position: Assosiate Professor

Field of research: international relations in the Balkan and Adriatic region, theory of international relations, analysis of foreign policy. Translator from Croatian and Serbian.

In 1986 he graduated from the Historical faculty of the Kyiv Shevchenko State University. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1991. He worked as Assistant Professor from 1989, as Associate Professor of the Historical faculty from 1997, and as Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 1998. Had traineeship in institutes of Canada, Croatia, Serbia, Finland and Germany. Lectured in Zagreb University (Croatia). The author of over 60 scientific publications.

Mykola H. Kapitonenko

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Political Studies)

Position: Assosiate Professor

Field of research: conflictology and theory of negotiations, history of international relations, actual problems of foreign policy of Ukraine, theory of international relations.

In 2001 he graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 2004. He worked as Assistant Professor from 2001, as Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 2006. From 2001 – Executive Director of the Center of international relations studies (CIRS). In 2005 he lectured courses on conflictology and ethnic conflicts in the Iowa state University (USA). The winner of the Kyiv National Shevchenko University premium, 2004, and of the traineeship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists. The author of over 60 scientific publications.

Victor Y. Konstantynov

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Political Studies)

Position: Assosiate Professor

Field of research: international regionalism issues, regional security and stability, regional cooperation at the post-soviet space, methodology of international relations studies.

In 1995 he graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 2000. He worked as Assistant Professor from 1997, as Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department from 2003. From 2003 – Academic Secretary of the Specialized Academic Council, speciality "Political problems of international systems and global development". The author of over 70 scientific publications.

Igor O. Mingazutdinov

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Historical Studies)

Position: Assosiate Professor

Field of research: international and European security issues, ethnic factor in international relations, modern trends in international relations, foreign policy of Great Britain.

 In 1984 he graduated from the International Relations and International Law faculty of the Kyiv Shevchenko State University. He defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 1987. From 1987 till 1991 he worked as a researcher of the USSR Academy of Science Institute of social and economic problems of foreign countries, 1992-1993 – as a Senior Researcher of the National Academy of science of Ukraine Institute of world economy and international relations, 1993-1995 – the second, the first secretary of the Department of Europe and America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. From 1995 he is Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department. From 2000 – Director of the Innovative center on international educational programs "INCOS". In 1991-1992 he was the visiting professor of the faculty of politics and international studies of Warwick University (Coventry, Great Britain). In 1994 he graduated from qualification courses in Vienna diplomatic academy (Vienna, Austria). Lectured in Diplomatic academy of the PRC (Beijing). The author of over 80 scientific publications. Trained 4 Ph.D.s (candidates).

Margaryta A. Mironova

Andriy A. Subotin

Serhiy O. Makovskyi

Field of research: European integration issues, foreign policy of Ukraine and states of Europe, history of international relations and world policy.

In 2002 he graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. From 2002 he worked as a political scientist of the II category of the Research Division, from 2006 - Assistant Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department. Had traineeship in York University (Toronto, Canada). The author of 20 scientific publications..

Kseniya Yu. Denysenko

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Political Studies)

Position: Assistant

Field of research: European policy, foreign policy of France, geopolitics, international relations and foreign policy.

PhD in Political Sciences, Assistant professor. In 2005 she graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. Since 2002 she worked as a political scientist of the I category of the Research Division. She defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 2000. Since 2011, she worked as a junior research fellow of Research Division of the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. Since 2012, she works as Assistant professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department. In 2011, she was awarded by the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the papers entitled “Geopolitical map of Europe.” She is the author of over 20 scientific publications.

Field of research: international and European security issues, national security of Ukraine, Ukraine's foreign policy.

 In 2001 Olena graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. In 2004 she defended her thesis. Since 2005 she worked in the Research Department of the Institute of International Relations as a junior research fellow, research and senior research fellow. Since 2015 - Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign policy Department. The author of over 50 research papers.

Nataliya N. Vesela

Scientific degree: Ph.D. (Political Studies)

Position: Assosiate Professor

Field of research: international relations in Latin America, integration of Latin American states, foreign policy of Ukraine.

 In 1998 she graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. She defended Ph.D. (candidate) thesis in 2002. During 2001-2010, she worked as a junior research fellow of Research Division of the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Shevchenko University. She did an internship in York University (Toronto, Canada). Since 2010, she works as Assistant professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department.
