Since 2013 the Chair of International Media Communication and Communication Technologies initiates the scientific and practical cycle “Communications of the XXI century.”
Within these areas, the students will learn techniques and tools, typical practice of application of modern foreign communications technologies to interact with public opinion; the nature and operation of mass media in disseminating positioned information; methods of psychological and manipulative influence on the target audience. In addition, as part of the cycle it is expected to issue scientific and educational publications, as well as to invite leading national and international experts who will show students the prospects of the knowledge and skills acquired at the Institute using the examples from their own practice.

Public lecture of the head of the advisory group of the Service of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Oleh Voloshyn.
In his speech, Oleh Anatoliovych said about the interaction of the press service with politicians and journalists, explained the importance of using new mass media - social networks - in the news department, gave useful advice on the employment of undergraduate of the Institute of International Relations.

Open lecture of Solomatina Olha (Moscow, Russia), publishing editor of a number of special projects of the publishing house “Kommersant” on “Writing is easy!”
O. Solomatina informed the students about the benefits of planning in the work of media people, how to gather information properly, to choose the plot, structure a text, she demonstrated the specificity of different informational genres which can be used in the work of journalists covering international affairs.

The topic of the lecture “Development of communication strategy: building an effective presentation for a client.” The students had the opportunity to think over one of the most critical components of a PR- campaign - the preparation and presentation of the future PR-strategy for the customer.

A public lecture of Doctor of Technical Science, Professor Smeshko Ihor Petrovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, President of the Center for Strategic Research and Analysis.
The topic of the lecture: “Information and strategic communication as an element of the state power: modern theory and practice.”
The first round of the research and practical game PRactice.
The student teams competed for the right to get an internship in the leading global PR-agencies. In the first term the following agencies were partners of the game: SPN Ogilvy, Pleon Talan and Brandcom. Students are offered to address the PR- cases from the real Ukrainian practice. Pleased to note that all students of the Institute of International Relations and other University departments were interested in the project.
