Centre experts are conducting thematic online training «Integration of Ukraine with the EU for young people»: European Policy.

From 24 October to 27 November 2020 took place the thematic online training within the school «Integration of Ukraine with the EU for young people» carried out in partnership between the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the School of Young Ukrainian Diplomat of the IIR Business School.

The students of the school have listened to the lectures of the Director of the Institute for International Relations, expert of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, Professor V. Kopiika on the topic «European Union: History and Modernity».

The topic was continued during the online lecture of the expert of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, Associate Professor of International Relations and Foreign Policy Chair S. Makovskyi on the peculiarities of modern EU activities. In the next lecture «Institutions of the European Union», the principles of the EU institutionalization were discussed through the analysis of the activities of the European Council, EU Council, European Commission, European Parliament, EU Court, etc.

The lecture «The European Union on the International Arena: Evolution of Political and Security Integration» was delivered by the expert of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, Associate Professor of International Relations and Foreign Policy Chair M. Mironova. At the online lesson, the peculiarities of the formation of the principles of the EU's common foreign and security policy, as well as the activities of the European External Action Service were discussed. Separately, the current issues of the EU's common security and defence policy, as well as the prospects for creating European security structures autonomous from NATO were considered.

Training duration – 10 October 2020 – 6 February 2021.

Target groups: high school students and other stakeholders.
