On 17 October 2019 at 3:00 p.m., a lecture by Daniel Fried, a well-known American politician and diplomat, will take place at the Small Hall of the Institute.

On 17 October 2019 at 3:00 p.m., a lecture by Daniel Fried, a well-known American politician and diplomat, will take place at the Small Hall of the Institute.

Mr. Fried held the positions of Coordinator of the US Department of State for Sanctions Policy (2013-2017), Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs (2004-2009), he also was the US Ambassador to Poland (1997-2000). Since February 2017, after forty years of service at the State Department, he has retired.
 
During the lecture, Daniel Fried will present his new book, "The United States and Central Europe in the American Age".
