On December 22, the Institute of International Relations celebrated the Day of the Diplomatic Service Employee with a presentation of the Scientific and Educational Project "Ukraine - World 30 (104): Official and Cultural Diplomacy"
On December 22, 2021 at 12:00 in the premises of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University the presentation of the Scientific and Educational Project "Ukraine - World 30 (104): official and cultural diplomacy" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's diplomatic relations with foreign countries , which for many countries is the 104th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations. The project is implemented on the initiative of the Scientific Society for the History of Diplomacy and International Relations with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Hans Seidel Foundation in Ukraine and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
Section of the project "First Representatives of Independent Ukraine" - 17 interviews of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, who were the first to represent independent Ukraine abroad, recorded with the support of the Hans Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, and transferred to the Central State Archive of Ukraine on 20 December named after GS Pshenichny as a gift to Ukraine for the 30th anniversary of the restoration of state independence.
The project was presented by its curator - Chairman of the Board, Prof. Iryna Matyash, Deputy Director of the Hans Seidel Foundation in Ukraine Olena Maksymova, heroes of the project - Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary: Volodymyr Vasylenko, Natalia Zarudna, Ihor Turyansky. The event was moderated by the director of the IIR Valeriy Kopiyka. Participants also got acquainted with the video presentation of the project and had the opportunity to ask questions to prominent diplomats - the heroes of the project. During the meeting, the idea of ??holding separate lectures of the heroes of the project, which will take place during 2022, crystallized.
