Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University received an appeal for support from colleagues from the Institute of Political Sciences and Administration of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin
The academic community of the Institute of Political Sciences and Administration of the Maria Curie-Sk?odowska University in Lublin strongly condemns the barbaric missile attacks carried out by the armed forces of the Russian Federation on civilian objects and the peaceful population of Ukrainian cities. Such actions are war crimes, which confirm the contemptuous attitude of the aggressor to the norms of international law.

We received with pain and indignation the news about the bombing of Kyiv on October 10, 2022 and the damage to the educational and research premises of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, a long-time partner of our Institute and Marie Curie Sklodowska University.

In view of this tragedy and the war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and the victims are universities, their academic communities and infrastructure, we strongly condemn the actions of the aggressor and express solidarity and support for the entire academic community of Ukraine, including the teachers and students of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University.

We appeal to the academic community of Lublin, as a city of Eastern European competencies, as well as to the academic community of Poland to express solidarity and support the academic community of Ukraine.
