April 10, 2014 at the Institute of International Relations University-based Scientific Research under the auspices of World Economy and International Economic Relations, Department of International Finance, Department Jean Monnet and Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian Association of International Economists" was held scientific and practical conference "Ukraine-EU: new phase of economic integration”.
The conference was attended by leading Ukrainian scientists and researchers. The welcome speech were made by Director of the Institute of International Relations V.Kopiyka and Deputy Director for Research M.Doroshko. The opening speech was announced by O.Shnyrkov a Chair of World Economy and International Economic Relations Department.
As general as specific issues of Ukraine's integration into the European Economic Area were discussed during the conference. Most of the participants were interesting in the external evaluation measurements of Economic Association Ukraine with the EU and analysis of possible consequences for the agricultural sector of Ukraine. Main discussion evolved around forecasting sectoral effects of Ukraine's economy in the context of Association Agreement's economic part, as well as determine the positive and negative consequences of signing a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the EU and Ukraine.
