Announcement of the Second All-Ukrainian Essay Writing Competition

The Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has announced the second All-Ukrainian Essay Writing Competition!

As usual, the event will be held with the official support of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the National Bar Association of Ukraine.

Stage I (remote)

Official announcement of the competition: 24 October 2025. Submission of applications: until 31 October 2025 (via Google form at the link).

During registration, students must provide their personal details:
full name, field of study, year of study, name of higher education institution, telephone number, email address, consent to the processing of personal data, and a scan of their student ID card.

After verification of applications on 3 November 2025, all registered participants will be sent 8 suggested topics to choose from for writing an essay.

The deadline for submitting essays is 10 November 2025 (to the email addresses provided by students during registration).

Within 10 days (approximately, depending on the number of participants) after the completion of the submission stage, the organisers will announce the 10 finalists who will proceed to the second stage of the competition.

Stage II:

Venue:
Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv,
36/1 Illenka Street, Kyiv, small auditorium.

In the second stage, the 10 finalists will present the results of their essays and participate in oral debates on the topic of the competition.

The winners of the debates will be decided by the official jury of the competition, which will include representatives of the teaching staff of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Competition results:

At the end of the second stage, five winners will be announced, who will receive:

a cash prize, the opportunity to undergo an internship at the National Association of Advocates of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and some law firms.
