From 24 February to 1 March 2025PhDr. (International Law), Associate Professor of the Chair of Comparative and European Law of the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Bohdan Veselovskyi took part in the European Union Visitors Programme (EUVP), a prestigious EU educational and analytical initiative aimed at developing professional competences, improving skills and familiarising with key aspects of the functioning of the European Union institutions, which has existed since 1974.

During the programme, Bohdan Veselovskyi held a series of meetings with representatives of the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council of the EU, the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), which allowed him to deepen his knowledge of the EU decision-making processes, the adaptation of European legal standards, as well as the directions of Ukraine's further integration into the European Union.

Associate Professor Bohdan Veselovskyi had the opportunity to join discussions with leading experts, European politicians and representatives of the judiciary on the following key issues:

- Prospects of EU enlargement and the process of adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the EU acquis

- Rule of law and judicial reform in line with European standards

- Institutional mechanisms for ensuring justice in the EU

- The role of the EU Court of Justice in ensuring legal unity in the EU Member States

Participation in the EUVP programme has become an important step in raising the level of professional training of the staff of the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations, expanding academic and scientific contacts with European partners and developing the expertise of Ukrainian specialists in the field of European law. Thanks to this initiative, the Institute' staff and students will have first-hand access to new knowledge and practical experience, which will contribute to the further development of European legal studies in Ukraine.
