A new publication on bankruptcy law has been released by ALERTA Publishing House:

Biryukov, O. M. Cross-Border Insolvency. Kyiv: Alerta, 2025. 226 p.

This publication is devoted to a rather specific area of legal regulation of private relations – cross-border bankruptcies. In terms of content, this work is practically a presentation of the results of scientific research made by the author in the field of bankruptcy, who is a well-known scientist in Ukraine and abroad, an international expert, and an educator with 30 years of experience teaching his own academic disciplines in this field of law.

The publication can help to better understand this specific area of bankruptcy law, essentially entering this world of legal work.

The author of the publication is Oleksandr BIRYUKOV, Doctor of Law, Professor, Fulbright Scholar (New York University, USA, 2000-2001), professor of of Private International Law Department at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, a scholar with two dissertations in the field of bankruptcy (comparative bankruptcy and cross-border insolvency), author of more than 300 publications on bankruptcy issues, including in English, Polish, and Chinese, Correspondent for UNIDROIT (International Institute for the Unification of Private Law) since 2020, Permanent member of CERIL (Conference on European Restructuring and Insolvency Law) since 2021, international expert – member of the World Bank Task Force on Improving Bankruptcy Law Standarts (since 2011), Consultant to the World Bank (Kazakhstan, 2012-2018), Consultant to the International Monetary Fund (Ukraine, 2017-2018).
