Daria Kliavlina won first place at the Interuniversity Competition for Young Translators

First-year master’s student of the “International Business” educational programme, Daria Kliavlina, won first place at the Interuniversity Competition for Young Translators.

For the 17th consecutive year, the Department of English Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at the National University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” has been holding the Interuniversity Competition for Young Translators.

The competition consisted of two stages:
Stage I – written translation of a prose work in a literary style;
Stage II – written translation of the poem “Cartography of Silence”.

This year, students from 10 higher education institutions of Ukraine took part in the competition, including Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kyiv National Linguistic University, the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, and others.
