The delegation of students of the Institute of International Relations took part in a rich international educational programme in Frankfurt, Paris, Luxembourg and Brussels

From 8 to 16 January 2025, a large delegation of students from the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (ERIIR) took part in an international educational programme on European Studies, Translation Practice and Parliamentarism organised by the French NGO Ukraine in Europe. The main purpose of this study tour was to get acquainted with the work of the EU institutions and for the first time in one educational trip, it was possible to visit six main EU institutions, namely: The European Central Bank, the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council of the EU and the European Council and, finally, the Court of Justice of the EU. In total, the students of the Institute of International Relations visited fourteen institutions.

On 10 January 2025, in Frankfurt, students of the Institute of International Relations, in particular, students majoring in IBA and IB, had the opportunity to visit the European Central Bank and the German Federal Bank, where they attended lectures on the European system of central banks and the work of the Deutsche Bundesbank, visited the Money Museum and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
On 11 January 2025, Ukrainian students of the Institute of International Relations visited UNESCO, where they got acquainted with the work of this international organisation and the works of art located on its territory.

On 13 January 2025, Ukrainian students spent a busy day in Paris visiting the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the National Assembly, the Sorbonne University and the Embassy of Ukraine in France. At the OECD, which was established after the Second World War and now has 38 member states, students of the IIRM specialities of MBA and IB listened to a lecture by Mr William Thompson, Head of the Department of Eurasia, Global Relations and Cooperation, on the main activities of the OECD and the prospects for Ukraine's accession to this organisation. At the same time, the students of the MBA and MPhil programmes visited the lower house of the French parliament - the National Assembly. In the afternoon, some of the students had the opportunity to visit the historic buildings of the Sorbonne University administration and the cultural centre of the Embassy of Ukraine in France, where they met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko and other diplomats. The students of the Institute of International Relations had a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about the current state of relations between Ukraine and France, the efforts of Ukrainian diplomats to strengthen assistance to Ukraine in the context of the war, the practical aspects of the work of the political and economic departments of the Embassy and received answers to numerous questions.

On 14 January 2025, one part of the MP students had the opportunity to visit the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, where they learned about the latest case law of the Court of Justice and visited the main courtrooms of the Court, while another part of the group visited the Luxembourg Parliament. At the same time, students of other specialities made study visits to the European Commission, where they attended a lecture on the work of the Directorate of Interpretation, the Council of the EU, where they got acquainted with the work of the EU Council of Ministers and the European Council, as well as the European Parliament in Brussels with a visit to the meeting room and a lecture on the powers of the European Parliament and the legislative decision-making procedure in the European Union.
