October 2008

Cooperation with the UN Development Program in Ukraine continued: "Creating a safe environment for the youth of Ukraine." Together with Intercultural Global Caravan, the "Book Gate" action was held, the purpose of which is to provide children in villages and towns that do not have a library with Ukrainian books; the creation of libraries where they are needed.

November 2008

Actions devoted to the Ukrainian script were held to remind the students of the Institute of International Studies about the uniqueness of the Ukrainian language; a collection of students' favourite quotes on a poster. For the International Day of Tolerance, a charity dinner was organized with the participation of representatives of different nationalities of the IIR, who presented dishes of their national cuisine, and a fundraiser among students who came to taste the prepared dishes. The collected money was transferred to orphanages for International Children's Day.

December 2008

A charity event was held to collect toys, clothes and money for St. Nicholas Day and transfer them to orphanages in the Kyiv region.
