With the participation of teachers from the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations — Natalia Belousova, Serhii Danylenko, Yulia Tsyrfa, Olena Kravchuk, Nataliia Serbina, Roman Kryvonos, and Dmytro Podolchuk — an electronic lecture course entitled "Ukraine's Accession to the EU" was developed on the basis of the educational online platform "Zrozumilo!" . The expert panel for the course also included Ksenia Smirnova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at KNU, and Yulia Tsyrfa, Associate Professor at the Department of International Regional Studies at the Institute of International Relations of KNU named after Taras Shevchenko.

The course is open to all students who are interested in Ukraine's integration into the European Union as a regional association of European states and who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the specifics and details of this process.

The official granting of candidate status to Ukraine for accession to the European Union in 2022 was an important milestone that opened up new opportunities for the country and, at the same time, posed a number of challenges. Today, Ukraine is actively pursuing European integration, and its citizens — especially students at the Institute of International Relations — must clearly understand the nuances of the negotiation process and its main stages, the content and significance of the reforms taking place in the country, as well as the importance of implementing democratic transformations and establishing European values in Ukrainian society.

The aspects discussed, supplemented by expert commentary from various fields and representatives of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration on specific topics related to Ukraine's European integration, will contribute to expanding students' knowledge about the EU and our country's progress towards membership in this organisation.
