Dear colleagues!

We invite you to join the expert discussion at the global level – Global Town Hall 2025!

This year, the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations is a partner of this event, as we have become a member of the global consortium of authoritative civil society organizations, think tanks and universities which are united by the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) as the largest nongovernmental organization that studies the foreign policy developments in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and the Indo-Pacific region.

The ESIIR in partnership with the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) and Global Citizen (an international advocacy organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty) invite you to become the participants in a series of expert sessions of Global Town Hall 2025 which are connected by the common theme “The Future We Need”.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize citizens of different states in the world with the future prospects for the development of countries and regions, to have a lively discussion and to promote an inclusive dialogue on shaping a better global future.

In 2025, the conference sessions are dedicated to the transition for the international system. In connection with the deepening of struggle for global leadership, the intensification of geopolitical shifts, the increase in economic uncertainty and the growth of civic challenges, the Global Town Hall offers a space for critical reflection on these problems and the development of constructive proposals for their solution.

Date of the event:

15 November 2025

For reference:

Over the course of 5 years, Global Town Hall has been joined by 400 civil society organizations from 150 countries

In 2024, 57 think tanks, 52 universities and 64 civil society organizations collaborated in the Global Town Hall, and over 10 thousand multinational participants interacted and networked across the event’s various sessions.

The North-South-East-West international dimension of the Global Town Hall sets it apart from other discussion platforms, as it ensures that speakers and discussants come from all corners of the globe. As the world faces cross-cutting crises, the Global Town Hall provides a venue for action-oriented discussions, many of which are linked to global campaigns held by a range of civil society organizations and institutions (in particular, Global Citizen), and the expert community.
