Guest lecture by Professor Oleksandr Biryukov at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University

At the invitation of Lilia Orel, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Private Law at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, Oleksandr Biryukov gave on October 6, 2025 a lecture to second-year students on Bankruptcy of Legal Persons within the “Civil Law” course.

During the lecture, Prof. Biryukov had to explain the basics of the bankruptcy system, focusing on the peculiarities of the termination of an insolvent person. The students were interested in learning about ways to apply their knowledge in this area of professional activities after graduation.

This is an example of effective cooperation between sister departments of two universities. Professor Lilia Orel defended her candidate's dissertation at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and while writing her doctoral dissertation, she was seconded to the Department of International Private Law of the Institute of International Relations.
