Students of the "International Communications" and "International Business" educational programs at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, who are currently on academic mobility in Germany, took part in the events of Ukrainian Week. The events took place on October 12 and 16, 2026, in Frankfurt (Oder) and Tübingen, and were dedicated to Ukrainian-German academic cooperation, cultural diplomacy, and the development of Ukrainian studies.

On October 12, the opening of Ukrainian Week took place at the European University Viadrina. The event was attended by Mariia Holska, Kateryna Derevianchenko, and Mariana Bohutska — third-year students of the "International Communications" program — as well as Olha Pushkina, a fourth-year student of the "International Business" program.

Discussions focused on Ukraine's European future, cooperation between Ukrainian and German universities, and the development of Ukrainian studies. In particular, the topics covered included study courses and research on Ukraine, academic exchanges, and joint educational and scientific projects.

On October 14, Mariia Telenkova, a third-year student of the "International Communications" program, participated in the student poster exhibition "Studying Between Ukraine and Germany" at the University of Tübingen.

Mariia presented a poster titled "Opportunities Beyond Academics," dedicated to the opportunities provided by studying at the IIR. The presentation highlighted participation in international educational programs, academic exchanges, and extracurricular initiatives.

The exhibition was part of the event "Ukrainian-German Academic Cooperation and Cultural Diplomacy." The program brought together representatives of Ukrainian and German universities, researchers, cultural figures, and civil society representatives. Participants discussed prospects for academic partnership, current challenges in higher education, cultural diplomacy, and societal resilience.

The event also featured the presentation of the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies and a panel discussion on successful practices and challenges in Ukrainian-German academic cooperation.

We are delighted that our students, during their academic mobility, join events dedicated to Ukraine and inform the international audience about life and education in Ukraine, particularly about studying at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations.
