Interinstitutional cooperation. Legal and communicative analysis of the situation around the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law held an expert discussion of the situation that has escalated around the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
The purpose of the discussion was to provide a legal and communication assessment of the decision to terminate the free use of premises in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
On the basis of documents establishing legal relations between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve, the law students analyzed the positions and interests of all parties involved in the case, assessed the degree of state intervention, as well as the potential international resonance of the case.
In turn, students from IIR studied the information and communication component of the case, and analyzed the messages and narratives promoted by official representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, leading domestic media and assessed the balance of opinions in the domestic information space.
Yuliya Ivashkevich, Ivan Nesterovich, Rapatska Sofiya, Elizaveta Spekhova, Milana Melnyk and Yuliya Kovalchuk took part in the discussion from the NN Institute of International Relations, Tetyana Gerasimova, Angelina Melnyk, Leonid Tysak, Oleg Guziy, Anastasia Vereshchagina and Anastasia Zakharchuk were from the NN Institute of Law.
