Representatives of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations joined the International Law Summer Academy organized by OSCE projects in Ukraine — an annual platform that brings together leading Ukrainian and international experts in the field of international law.

The Academy’s program covered key areas of modern international law: EU law, human rights protection, international humanitarian and criminal law, business and law, as well as current challenges of Ukraine's European integration.

The event was coordinated by Professor Mykhailo Buromenskyi, Acting Head of the Department of Comparative and European Law. Among the speakers were Professor Olha Butkevych, Associate Professors Zakhar Tropin and Olena Sviatun, as well as Institute alumni who currently represent Ukraine in leading international and state institutions. Notably, these included Mykola Gnatovsky, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, and Anton Korynevych, Director of the Department of International Law and International Legal Counteraction to Aggression of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The Institute was also represented at the Academy by students of the «International Law» educational program: Kristina Steshenko, Vladyslav Syliava, Anton Yarmolynskyi (4th year), Anna Nazaruk (3rd year), and Sofiia Semyshkur (2nd year of Master's degree).

Such academic platforms combine learning, professional discussion, and exchange of experience. It is here that students have the opportunity to work on current international law cases, discuss them with leading experts, and establish professional contacts during their studies.
