IR Teams in the Finals of the V National Moot Court Competition on EU Law! Congratulations to the Winners!

On May 14, 2025, the final oral round of the V National Moot Court Competition on EU Law was held within the walls of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The Competition is annually organized by the Department of Comparative and European Law of our Institute.

We are proud to announce that two teams from the Institute of International Relations — UA Experts and VSTAA — advanced to the top four finalists based on the written round results. This year, 17 teams from leading Ukrainian universities participated in the Competition. Once again, our students demonstrated an exceptional level of knowledge in EU law and outstanding analytical skills.

Following the oral rounds, the UA Experts team (Anna Kryzhanivska, Anastasiia Naida, Kateryna Opanasenko, 3rd-year students of International Law) won first place, claiming a well-deserved victory in a high-level legal battle against the strongest student teams in the country. The VSTAA team (Taras Bilous, Sofi Praine, Anna Slepchenko, Viktoriia Stalynska, 2nd-year students of International Law) also represented the Institute with dignity, demonstrating both a deep understanding of EU law and excellent teamwork.

This victory is not only a success in the courtroom but a clear testament to the fact that the Institute of International Relations is shaping a new generation of legal professionals with a truly European legal mindset.

The jury of the final round included faculty members of the Department of Comparative and European Law as well as leading experts in EU law from other universities and international projects.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine for its continued support of the Competition and for the symbolic gifts provided to the participants.
