Lecture by Nadiya Koval on ‘Ukraine's goals in the war and after it’

On 11 April 2025, with the assistance of the Department of International Organisations and Diplomatic Service, a meeting was held with Nadiia Koval, Advisor to the International Initiatives Division of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The lecture was held with the 2nd year students of the Master's degree programme ‘Foreign Policy and National Security’ in the format of the discipline ‘Ukraine and the Settlement of International Conflicts’.
The topic of this lecture: ‘Ukraine's goals in the war and after it’. In her presentation, Nadiia Yevheniivna highlighted the issue of Russia's armed aggression: proactive and reactive goals, a bilateral interstate war with different types of international support for both sides, local and global aspects of the confrontation. She stressed that Ukraine's partners provide financial and military assistance, political support, but do not participate in the war. She also noted Russia's support within and outside of formal alliances - Iran's provision of attack drones; military and other forms of indirect support to the DPRK.
