Lecture by Professor Dainius Žalimas, Member of the European Parliament, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania (2014-2021)

On Wednesday, 30 April 2025, a lecture was held by the Member of the European Parliament, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania (2014-2021), Professor Dainius Žalimas for students of the International Law Department on ‘The 3rd of May Constitution of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth from the Modern Perspective: Historical Parallels and Lessons to Be Learned: Historical Parallels and Lessons to Be Learned).
In his lecture, Professor D.Žalimas touched upon the historical parallels between the formation of constitutionalism in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the current problems of the European legal order. At the end of the lecture, Professor Žalimas answered numerous questions from the students on a wide range of issues of international and European law, human rights, activities of the EU and Council of Europe institutions, and the process of European integration of Lithuania and Ukraine.
