A lecture by Professor Valery Reznikov on ‘Theoretical models of public administration in integration associations and the EU’
On 1 April 2026, as part of the ‘Eastern Ukrainian Centre of European Studies’ (EAUCES – ERASMUS-JMO-2024-COE 101176972), a lecture was delivered by Valerii Reznikov, Professor at the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations, Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The topic of the session was ‘Theoretical Models of Public Administration in Integration Associations and the European Union’.
During the lecture, key models of public administration were examined, in particular: hierarchical, network, market, participatory, bureaucratic and managerial. Particular attention was paid to the concept of public management as a modern approach to the organisation of management processes.
Participants had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the specific features of each model’s functioning, their advantages and limitations, as well as to conduct a comparative analysis of the models in the context of the activities of integration associations and the European Union.
The event took the form of a lively discussion, which contributed to a better understanding of modern approaches to public administration in the context of European integration.
