Lecture on public administration by Denis Shemyakin and Anastasia Yakovenko

On November 30, 2023, a lecture was held with the participation of Denis Shemyakin, Director of the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, and Anastasiia Yakovenko, Communications Expert of the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Economy.

The meeting was held within the framework of the discipline "Public Administration" for 4th year students of the International Communications program.

During the meeting, they discussed the stages of development and implementation of reform strategies and programs, as well as the Ministry's relations and partnerships with leading stakeholders.

During the lecture, students learned about the project management methodology developed by the European Commission for the needs of EU institutions and learned that today this methodology is used in government agencies, non-profit institutions and private business and has certain features, namely:

  • The methodology is based on the principles and best practices of project management;

  • Contains standardized methodologies and documents for each stage of the project;

  • It is product-oriented;

  • Includes the «governance» domain, which focuses on the distribution of roles and responsibilities.

The meeting was extremely interesting and useful.
