On May 8, 2026, the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations hosted a lecture entitled “Public Diplomacy as a Force: How Ukraine Is Changing the Rules of the Game on the Global Stage” within the educational initiative of the Global Platform of the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit.

The speakers of the event were:

Oleksandra Batii — Head of the Global Platform of the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit;

Viktoriia Lialina-Boiko — Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

During the meeting, participants discussed the role of public diplomacy in shaping Ukraine’s international image, countering Russian propaganda, and promoting Ukrainian narratives worldwide.

The lecture also featured practical case studies, including:

▫ the activities of the Global Platform of the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit;

▫ the Ukrainian Pavilion at Expo 2025;

▫ public diplomacy instruments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;

▫ the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies.
