Lecture by Victoria Lyalina-Boyko on ‘Public Diplomacy: Role and Importance in Ukraine's Foreign Policy’

On 1 November 2024, as part of the course ‘Public and Cultural Diplomacy’, master students of the Diplomacy and International Cooperation programme listened to a lecture by the Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Viktoriia Lialina-Boyko, on ‘Public Diplomacy: Role and Importance in Ukraine's Foreign Policy’.

Ms Victoria outlined the key aspects of modern public diplomacy, in particular its role in times of war, and presented the modern tools and approaches used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Among the topics covered were creative partnerships that ensure effective communication and interaction with the international community. Strategic visions and operational digital campaigns that contribute to strengthening Ukraine's international image were also highlighted.

Viktoriia Lialina-Boyko's lecture was a valuable contribution to the educational process and allowed the students to better understand the applied mechanisms of public diplomacy in the modern world.
