Lecture by Yuriy Mushka on ‘Development of Ukraine's relations with Eastern Europe’

On 25 October 2024, a lecture by Mr. Yurii Mushka, Ambassador-at-Large of the Second Territorial Department, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Slovakia in 2016-2022, graduate of the Institute of International Relations in 1991, was held for the 2nd year students of the Master's degree programme in International Relations within the discipline ‘Multilateral Diplomacy and Mechanisms for Regulating Modern International Relations’. 

During the lecture, the lecturer focused on important aspects of international relations and state recognition. He gave practical examples from his work. He also focused on the demarcation of borders.

Yuriy Yuriyovych also spoke about bilateral relations with Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. He analysed the interstate debate over the Zmiinyi Peninsula. He focused on Ukrainian-Hungarian relations and Hungary's position in the international arena and its policy towards Ukraine. He also answered students' questions about the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the tasks of diplomats, and the functions they perform at the present stage.
