Legal aspect of child rights protection

On November 21, 2023, within the walls of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations, a meeting was held on the topic "Legal Aspect of the Protection of the Rights of the Child," organized by the Legal Department of the Student Council of the IIR in cooperation with Ukraine's UNICEF Youth Advisory Board.

During the meeting, member of the Youth Council of UNICEF Ukraine Anna Kryzhanivska (2nd year of the OP "International Law") briefly spoke about the activities of the UN Children's Fund in Ukraine and raised an important topic of today - the protection of the rights of the child during the war.
The central issue of the meeting was the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, namely Articles 38-41, which tell about protection in time of war, restoration and return to society and the application of the most child-friendly laws. It is on November 20, the day of the adoption of the Convention, that World Children's Day is celebrated in all countries.
Speaker Alisa Mazurenko (2nd year of the OP "International Law") also spoke about the initiative "The child is not alone" and other opportunities to help children during the war.

At the end of the meeting, the representative of Ukraine's UNICEF Youth Advisory Board answered the guests' questions about the activities of this advisory body.
