Meeting of the School of Young Ukrainian Diplomats with First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga

The First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Andrii Sybiga met with the participants of the School of Young Ukrainian Diplomat of the Business School of the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
It was a great honour and an unforgettable event for the young people to communicate with the Ambassador.
The participants learned about the work and structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, current foreign policy priorities, Ukraine's diplomacy in times of war, as well as the main qualities and skills that a diplomat should have. Special attention was paid to the importance of soft power diplomacy.

The First Deputy Minister stressed that "diplomacy is an extremely responsible job of representing Ukraine in the international arena. A diplomat always speaks on behalf of the state". Andrii Ivanovych also stressed the importance of the ability to communicate and be an interesting interlocutor, which requires a solid professional education and knowledge of foreign languages. Mr Ambassador added: "The state is first and foremost people: ambitious, honest, energetic".
During the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the First Deputy Minister, which allowed them to receive invaluable advice and a deeper understanding of the realities of diplomatic work.

Students and applicants were interested in information about internship opportunities at the MFA of Ukraine, which opens up new perspectives for them and helps them in their further professional growth.
The meeting became an important step in the professional development of the participants of the School of Young Ukrainian Diplomat, inspiring them to further achievements in the field of diplomacy.
In addition, during a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and a tour of the legendary building "from which the whole world is visible", the School's students visited the exhibition "Living the War". This is a unique immersive exhibition that gives the opportunity to feel how Ukrainians survive in the language of war.
