Oleksandr Shevchuk, lecturer at the Department of International Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences, national consultant on personal data protection within the framework of Council of Europe and EU projects, was a guest on the podcast of the National School of Judges of Ukraine.

The theme of the issue is "Justice and personal data: will we overcome the European bar?"

During the conversation, they discussed:

  • personal data protection reform in Ukraine
  • challenges related to artificial intelligence
  • the fight against Russian disinformation and propaganda,
  • prospects for Ukraine's integration into the EU Single Digital Market.

"The level of trust in democratic institutions and the level of trust in a democratic society depends on the level of personal data protection. And the security of our personal data depends solely on us," emphasised Oleksandr Shevchuk.
