Oleksandra Shepel has received the Kyiv Mayor’s Award in the “Scientific Achievements” category
Assistant at the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations, Oleksandra Shepel, has received the Kyiv Mayor’s Award in the “Scientific Achievements” category.
The decision was made in accordance with Kyiv Mayor’s Order No. 374 of 24 June 2026.
On 12 August, talented representatives of Kyiv’s younger generation were honoured in the capital on the occasion of Youth Day for their scientific and creative achievements, as well as for their significant contribution to the development of the youth movement.

The Kyiv Mayor’s Award is presented to young researchers, educators, civic activists, artists, and other active young people whose professional and public activities contribute to the development of Kyiv, science, education, and innovation, and strengthen Ukraine’s intellectual potential.
Oleksandra Shepel combines research, teaching, and project activities, participates in international research initiatives, and contributes to the training of specialists in international economic relations. Her professional interests cover current issues in the global economy and international economic relations, international finance and investment, labour migration, international assistance, and European integration.
The Kyiv Mayor’s Award is a recognition of Oleksandra Shepel’s research achievements, professional excellence, and contribution to the development of modern economic research and the academic environment.
During the ceremony, the important role of young people in the development of the capital was also highlighted. The knowledge, talent, hard work, and energy of young people make Kyiv more dynamic, modern, and innovative.
