Participation of IIR teachers in Haidu's presentation "12 Steps to Understanding the Identity of a Nation-State"

On 17 September 2025, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted a presentation of Haidou's "12 Steps to Understanding the Identity of a Nation-State," compiled with the participation of faculty members from the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations.

The expert group of compilers included:

  • Olena Dobrzanska, PhD in Political Science, Vice-Rector for Public Relations at KNU, Associate Professor at the Department of International Information;

  • Yuriy Romanenko, Doctor of Sociology, Professor of the Department of International Media Communications and Communication Technologies;

  • Oleg Pavlyuk, Doctor of Philosophy, lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages.

The publication is the result of cooperation between Shevchenko University, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the NGO "Institute of Culture of Ukraine" and the International Renaissance Foundation.

The guide "12 Steps to Understanding the Identity of a Nation State" was created to unify the understanding of key terms, provide an academically sound yet accessible tool for understanding Ukrainian identity, and lay the foundation for the formation of a balanced state policy in this area.
