Participation of the Institute of International Relations in the First Convention of Central and Eastern European Researchers

On June 5-6, 2025, representatives of the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv - Head of the Department of International Regional Studies Mykola Doroshko, Head of the Department of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service Viktor Matvienko, and Professor of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy Hryhorii Perepelytsia - took part in the First Convention of Central and Eastern European Researchers.

This year's theme of the Convention is "Central and Eastern Europe in a Time of Change. Politics and Society".

The event was organized by the UMCS Center for Eastern Europe and the Institute of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin, Poland).

The event was aimed at integrating the research community studying the history, culture, politics, and societies of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as developing interdisciplinary approaches in the humanities and social sciences.

The geopolitical position of Poland, new challenges for Ukraine, the formation of alliances, and the need for a deep analysis of current processes have become central topics of academic discussions.
