Participation of a student of the Institute of International Relations in the Freedom Camp

On 12-18 August 2024, Nataliia Fenchyshyn, a 3rd year student of the International Communications programme, took part in the Freedom Camp summer camp organised by the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine.

Out of 503 applications, 17 participants from different regions of Ukraine were selected.

The camp included many thematic lectures, including: ‘Communication Technologies’, “Information Wars”, “Visual Language and Design”, “Peculiarities of Image Formation”, “Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine”.

The student, together with the camp participants, participated in the development of new visual materials and slogans for the information campaign, in particular for the international movement #LIBERATECRIMEA.

Natalia noted that thanks to her participation in the camp, she gained incredible experience, valuable knowledge and contacts, and learned more about the occupation of Crimea and human rights violations on the peninsula.
