Participation of students of IIR in the project "Defenders of Kyiv"

On March 15, 2024, students of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (namely of the International Communications Program ) successfully completed a week-long training and received certificates under the "Kyiv Defenders" project.

"Defenders of Kyiv" is a military training for young people, which takes place under conditions as close as possible to those in the field. The project is being implemented by the Kyiv Department of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the NGO ASD - Alpha Self Defense.

During the week, the instructors conducted training from the basics of aerial reconnaissance and weapons handling techniques, tactical special training and tactical medicine, the basics of military topography and mine action.

After the students had mastered the military basics, an intensive training session was held to practice fire contact with airsoft weapons, close quarters combat, and movement in small raid groups.
