The professional standard “International Economist” has been officially entered into the Unified Register of Qualifications
On 28 September 2026, the National Agency for Qualifications added the standard to the Unified Register of Qualifications – the Classifier of Occupations.
The document is the result of close collaboration between specialists from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the team of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations.
It clearly sets out the knowledge, skills and competencies required of an international economist, providing a solid foundation for designing and updating educational programmes in line with the real needs of the labour market.
By establishing uniform professional requirements for universities, future specialists and employers, the standard will help ensure the training of highly qualified international economists ready to meet today’s challenges.
A warm thank-you goes to everyone who contributed to the development of the standard and its inclusion in the register.
