The article argues that in the Middle East region, the specifics of the manifestation of global trends are reflected in the new geopolitical role of the monarchies of the Arabian Peninsula at the main levels of its implementation - the level of the Persian Gulf, the Arab and Islamic world and at the global level. The place of the monarchies of the Arabian Peninsula in modern world politics is determined and the challenges and opportunities for Ukraine in cooperation with them are assessed.

The use of a systemic approach gave the authors the opportunity to identify and characterize the main stages of the transformation of the geopolitical role of the countries of the subregion in international relations based on the analysis of the features of their historical development and political evolution within the ancient Middle Eastern system, the system of the Arab Caliphate, the Vienna, Versailles-Washington, Yalta-Potsdam and the modern international system. It is proven that in the 21st century the center of economic and political weight of the Arab world is shifting to the Arabian Peninsula. The central role of the Arab monarchies in the new configuration of geopolitical centers in the Arab world and in the wider Middle East is becoming one of the main regional trends. These are centers of power of a new type, which, as a result of technological breakthrough, are revealing themselves as financial and investment, trade, transport and infrastructure, information and telecommunications centers not only of the regional but also of the global level.

The geopolitical specificity of the Arab monarchies is determined and their comparative analysis is carried out. A comparative assessment of the political, economic and energy influence of these states on modern world politics is given. The key directions of the monarchies' foreign policy in the context of global and regional changes are determined. The current state of relations between Ukraine and the Arab monarchies and the political, economic and security challenges for Ukraine in interaction with them are analyzed, and potential opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of politics, economics, investment, energy and the defense industry are summarized. It has been proven that Ukraine has significant potential for cooperation with the monarchies of the Arabian Peninsula in many areas, can benefit from cooperation in the fields of economy, defense, energy and humanitarian support. Ukraine must develop a scientifically based concept of its Middle East policy, an important component of which is relations with the Arabian monarchies, determine its principles and priorities, which requires collective efforts of scientists and practitioners.
