Students of the Institute of International Relations took part in the educational program on European and International Studies

From July 1 to 9, 2025, a delegation of students from the Institute of International Relations took part in the 74th International Educational Program on European and International Studies, organized by the French NGO Ukraine in Europe. The main goals of this educational trip were to familiarize themselves with the work of the EU institutions, the Nuremberg Trials Memorial, as well as to visit the UN and WTO Offices in Geneva.
On July 3, 2025, students of the Institute of International Relations visited the Nuremberg Trials Memorial, in particular, the International Military Tribunal's courtroom (Room 600) and numerous exhibitions, where they had the opportunity to learn about the details of the trial of Nazi criminals.
On July 4, 2025, Ukrainian students spent a busy day in Strasbourg visiting the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). First of all, the delegation of the Institute of International Relations made an educational visit to the European Parliament, where they listened to a lecture on the powers of the EP and the legislative decision-making procedure in the European Union and then visited the EP meeting room. In addition, students majoring in International Law visited the ECHR, where they watched a film and listened to a lecture on its work, while students of other specialties listened to a lecture on the activities of the Council of Europe and visited the PACE meeting room.

On the weekend of July 5, 2025, the Ukrainian delegation visited the capital of the Swiss Confederation, Bern, and one of the most beautiful towns in Switzerland, Montreux. And on Sunday, July 6, the participants of the trip got acquainted with the historical center of Geneva, as well as walked along the streets of the most colorful medieval village in France - Ivory Coast.
On July 7, the students of the Institute of International Relations visited the UN Office in Geneva, where they got acquainted with the historic buildings of the Palais des Nations and had the opportunity to see with their own eyes one of the most important places in the post-war history of the European continent and the world. The students studying International Economic Relations and International Business additionally visited the World Trade Organization, where they listened to an informative lecture on the work of the WTO, in particular, on dispute settlement with the participation of Ukraine, and visited various halls of this influential international organization.
Finally, on July 8, 2025, the delegation of the IIR made an educational visit to the Austrian Parliament, visiting the historic meeting room where deputies from Galicia once sat, as well as the modern meeting rooms of the two chambers of the Austrian Parliament - the Federal Council and the National Council.
Upon completion of the educational program, the participants received certificates.
