Students of the International Finance and Investment Programme Reach the Superfinal of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2026!

команда

The team consisted of students from the International Finance and Investment programme — Oleksandra Maidaniuk (team captain), Viktoriia Puhachova, Kateryna Lialiutska, and Orest Tretiak, as well as Daryna Rudik, a student of the International Economic Relations programme.

The team's academic supervisor was Vasyl Namoniuk, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor.

This year, the competition brought together more than 8,000 students from 1,200 universities worldwide. At the national stage, 11 student teams representing Ukraine’s leading universities competed for a place in the international round.

The subject of the investment research was Kyivstar, Ukraine’s leading electronic communications company and the first Ukrainian company to be listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange. The students prepared a comprehensive investment research report in English, conducted a business valuation, and presented their investment recommendations before a panel of investment directors and financial experts holding the CFA charter.

Preparing for international competitions of this level requires not only strong professional expertise but also an advanced command of English. This essential component of the students’ training is provided by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations.

Furthermore, the team's advancement to the superfinal highlights the high quality of the International Finance and Investment master's programme and confirms that the professional training of our students meets international educational standards.

We warmly congratulate the team, their academic supervisor Vasyl Namoniuk, and their mentors on this outstanding achievement and wish them continued success.
