Visit of students from the Institute of International Relations and International Law to the Republic of Cyprus
Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv took part in an educational trip to the Republic of Cyprus from 29 January to 6 February 2026, organised by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus and the NGO "UA Experts".
During the trip, third- and fourth-year students of the International Law, International Relations, and International Communications programmes visited the following institutions:
- Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus
- Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus — House of Representatives
- United Nations Good Offices Mission and United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP)
- Larnaca City Council and Tourism Board
- Centre of Visual Arts and Research
- University of Cyprus
- University of Nicosia
The students had an incredible opportunity to learn more about the internal structure of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as to familiarise themselves with the main aspects of Ukrainian-Cypriot cooperation.
During the trip, the institute's students also met Cypriot students studying international relations and law. This laid a solid foundation for future youth cooperation!
We would like to thank the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus, in particular Ambassador Serhiy Nizhynsky, for the opportunity to visit Cyprus and learn more about modern and current diplomacy and foreign policy of Ukraine during Cyprus' presidency of the Council of the EU.
