The visit of teachers and students of IIR to high school students of Kyiv

On February 15, 2024, teachers and students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations met with students of 9-11 classes of the school of I-III degrees No. 1 of Kyiv. This visit took place within the framework of the initiative "Days of Women Scientists in Ukraine."

High school students talked with:
- Shpakovich Olga, Professor of the Department of Comparative and European Law;
- Khmara Marina, Associate Professor of International Business;
- Kryzhanivska Anna, 2nd year student of "International Law";
- Prystupa Alina, 1st year student of the Master's degree programme in International Law.
Shpakovich Olga spoke about the prospects for studying international relations, as well as international law in modern realities. She also noted that IIR holds a huge number of events for students, as well as for future applicants, in particular the Open Day, which will soon take place.

Khmara Marina spoke about her path in the study of international economic relations and shared the story of finding her hobby since childhood. She supplemented her speech with a mention of the long-term study of artificial intelligence and also shared the opportunity for high school students to take part in the School of a Young Ukrainian diplomat.

Kryzhanivska Anna told high school students about opportunities for youth in the field of public participation, namely: youth public organizations of Ukraine and student self-government bodies at the level of IIR and KNU. She also spoke about scientific activities within the institute and at the international level, adding interesting information about educational travel for IIR students.

Prystupa Alina plunged into the world of opportunities for students in the field of science and shared her experience of participating in moot courts and scientific conferences of various levels. In the end, she spoke about the importance of publishing her articles and works in professional scientific publications.

This meeting was extremely motivational and cosy, even despite the air raid alert, because of which it was necessary to continue communication in the shelter. In the end, the students of the school also shared pleasant words about the speeches of the speakers, leaving the latter sheets with impressions of the lecture.

We sincerely thank the school of I-III degrees No. 1 of Kyiv for the invitation! We hope that soon we will meet again, but already within the walls of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations!
