Workshop by diplomat Andrii KARAKUTSA on analytical support for Ukraine’s foreign policy activities
On October 30, 2025, within the cooperation between the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the support of the Chair of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service, and the Chair of International Information, a meeting was held with Andrii KARAKUTSA, Head of Analytical Support Unit of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the students of the 2st year study of master’s Educational Program ‘International Communications’ (discipline ‘Practice of Public Diplomacy of Ukraine’, lecturer – Nataliia PIPCHENKO, professor of the Chair of International Information).
During the workshop, students learned about the peculiarities of conducting analytical work at the MFA of Ukraine and diplomatic missions abroad, as well as the preparation of various types of analytical documents. The diplomat outlined the structural divisions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responsible for analytical tasks and described the specifics of making foreign policy decisions in light of the state’s strategic priorities.
The event concluded with an interesting discussion on the prospects for transforming Ukraine’s foreign policy activities to achieve peace, as well as deepening cooperation with the USA and the EU.
