Conference at the State Institution "Institute of World History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine"
On 30 October 2025, the State Institution "Institute of World History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" hosted an international scientific conference entitled "Post-Soviet Discourse of Russian Policy towards New Independent States". The conference was attended by lecturers and postgraduate students from the Department of International Organisations and Diplomatic Service of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations (Prof. Nataliia YAKOVENKO, Assoc. Prof. Vyacheslav TSIVATYI, postgraduate student Mykola SEREDA). The international conference was organized at a high level, and the participants' reports sparked lively scientific discussions and reflections.
AREAS OF WORK OF THE CONFERENCE:
- The ideology of the "Russian World" as a conceptual framework for the Kremlin's foreign policy.
- The doctrinal foundations, main directions and forms of Russia's expansionist and integrationist policy towards the new independent states.
- The economic aspects of Russia's expansionist policy.
- Russia's sociocultural influence on the states of the post-Soviet space.
- Puppet "republics" – Moscow's "Trojan horse".
