The Department of International Finance celebrates its 25th anniversary

This year, the Department of International Finance celebrates its 25th anniversary since its founding. The dedicated work and high professionalism of the department's faculty and staff have earned a well-deserved recognition. The department's instructors undertake long-term traineeships at universities in the USA, Germany, Denmark, Portugal, and Hong Kong, while its graduates work in responsible positions at international companies and financial institutions in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and other countries as well as hold high-ranking government positions in Ukraine.

Considering the challenges Ukraine faces during these difficult times, the department's team decided to mark the anniversary specially by holding a charitable fundraiser to support those currently defending our freedom and independence. Thanks to the funds raised, we were able to purchase a Mavic 3T unmanned aerial vehicle, a powerful generator, and the necessary network equipment to support the "Donbas" Special Operations Battalion of the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, in which our colleague Illya Gavrilenko from the Department of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service is serving.

The department sincerely thanks everyone who participated in the charitable campaign dedicated to the 25th anniversary of our department. Special gratitude goes to the faculty and graduate students of the Department of International Finance, the All-Ukrainian Association of International Economists, and the Department of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service for their most significant contributions.

An important event celebrating the anniversary was the large-scale International Scientific and Practical Conference "Financial Aspects of Global Economic Development: Challenges and Prospects," which brought together over 150 participants from 7 foreign and 30 Ukrainian universities. We are grateful to all co-organizers and participants for their support and contribution to the success of the event.

The final chord of the anniversary celebration was a group photo of the department's 2024 team – a moment that immortalized our unity, experience, and energy. This photograph symbolizes readiness for new achievements.
