IHL Summer Camp for students of the Institute of International Relations

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society and Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, in partnership with the Danish Red Cross and the British Red Cross, are launching the IHL Summer Camp exclusively for undergraduate students of our Institute and invite you to take part in it!
At the IHL Summer Camp, you will receive answers to the most pressing questions:
- what is international humanitarian law and does it work now?
- in what case does a civilian object become a military one?
- in what case does a civilian lose immunity from attack?
- does the party to the conflict have the right to kill prisoners of war?
- what is the difference between the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ukrainian Red Cross?
- why are there so many disinformation attacks on the Ukrainian Red Cross and what are its activities?
- how can russia and specific individuals be brought to justice for violations of IHL?
And you will also find many other actual questions and answers, interactive sessions, activities and face-to-face communication both with the trainers and with each other.
Who can participate?
- IIR Students of the "International Law" educational program of who have completed the I-III course of study.
- Venue: Kyiv region. Way to and back, accommodation and food expenses on all days of the event are covered by the organizers.
- When: August 16-20.
- IHL Summer Camp language: Ukrainian.
