March 25, 2024, a lecture by Ms. Alma Taso Deljkovic (Head of Witness Support Office The Court of B&H) was held on the topic: "Victim and witness support mechanisms in a prosecution of war crimes cases at national and international level" for students of the 2nd year of OP "International Law" within the discipline "Procedures for investigating criminal cases in Ukraine and foreign countries."
The meeting was initiated by Professor of the Department of Comparative and European Law Vadym Popko.

Ms. Alma Taso Deljkovi spoke about the experience of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other European countries in the field of protection of victims and witnesses in the investigation of war crimes.
"Victim protection mechanism is a new part of the criminal justice system, yet very important, because the worst thing is that both victims and witnesses sometimes end up completely alone after experiencing a court trial", — the speaker said.

Students asked a lot of interesting and relevant questions, in particular regarding the possibilities of implementing similar mechanisms in Ukraine in the future.
