Master-class held by the department of International Finance

In the framework of learner-centered education concept which is one of the key points in educational process the Department of International Finance organized and held the Masterclass ‘Startup Financing in Emerging Markets: Current Trends, Cases and Ethical Considerations’.

Anastasiia Lozik – the invited speaker – is the graduate of ‘International Finance and Investments’ Master’s Degree Program, and currently serves as the Client Partner at Hitech iSolutions Inc., New York., driving the East Coast Business Division in North and South America.

During the Masterclass students, mostly representing ‘International Finance and Investments’ graduate program and ‘International Business, Commerce and Finance’ undergraduate program as well as other majors, Ph.D. students and faculty, were engaged in discussing the speaker’s vast practical experience in the field of driving revenue growth, fostering existing client relationships and forging new connections, overseeing and implementing marketing and funding campaigns, business and financial forecasting, advising on operational effectiveness optimization.

The speaker shared numerous cases and success stories from real life, discussed bright examples of startup financing based on her experience, focused on latest challenges and trends in startup funding in emerging markets.

The Department of International Finance regularly organizes specific empirically oriented masterclasses, trainings, and workshops for students. They are held by representatives of real businesses in the field of finance and investing – often graduates of IFI program – who share their practical experience in the field, train students to develop specific skills and expertise, focus on up-to-date issues and trends in the field.
