On October 23-24, the second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform was held in Prague. Delegations from 69 countries attended the summit to express their support for the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity, including Crimea.

The Ukrainian delegation from the Expert Network of the Crimean Platform included students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of the Kyiv National University Anna Kryzhanivska, 2nd year "International Law," and Yurii Petryk, 4th year "International Business".

The main purpose of the event was to raise awareness of world leaders and the global community about the illegal Russian occupation of Crimea, its impact on the inhabitants of the peninsula, global food security, as well as the rules-based world order. One of the key topics of the summit was the acute issue of Ukrainian children who were taken to Russia.

The summit participants approved a joint declaration with basic principles that emphasize the need to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, de-occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol and ensuring the state sovereignty of Ukraine, which is a fundamental prerequisite for ending the war and establishing lasting peace in the region.

Within the framework of the summit, there were meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský and two panel discussions organized by the Expert Network of the Crimean Platform with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic: "Inevitable liberation of Crimea" and "Restoring Justice and Guarantees of Non-Repetition of Russian Aggression".

In addition, students of our institute took part in the press conference "Problems and consequences of the occupation of Crimea", organized by the Czech non-governmental organization NESEHNUTÍ, and the discussion at Charles University on "The role of the international community in the protection of human rights in times of armed aggression".

We hope that participation in the summit will contribute to the development of the scientific potential of students not only of our country, but of the whole world!
