Self-government fair 2024

On 19 and 20 September 2024, the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted a self-government fair organised by the Student Council of the Institute of International Relations. 

This is a traditional event that allows students to get acquainted with various departments and clubs of the Student Council and choose the organisation they would like to join. 

The departments and clubs of the Student Council presented their activities, structure and prepared interesting interactive tasks for the guests of the fair. Here is what the organisers recall:

‘The Self-Government Fair is a space for inspiration and new opportunities for every student of the Institute of International Relations. During these two days, the Institute's hall was charged with an atmosphere of cooperation and incredible energy. Students approached each location with interest, asked questions and actively participated in the discussions, and their eyes were burning with a desire to join new projects and find their team. Each participant felt like a part of a large student community ready to make changes and bring ideas to life,’ - Olha Liakhovetska, Head of the Legal Department, 3rd year of the International Law Programme

‘The International Department was pleased to join the Self-Governance Fair in person for the first time. Last semester, the direction of the department's activities was changed. Now the organisation is engaged in the dissemination of international opportunities, organisation of events and informal consultation of students of the Institute of International Relations on participation in the Erasmus+ programme’, - Yelyzaveta Kaidash, Head of the International Department, 2nd year of the International Law Programme

‘The Self-Governance Fair is a special opportunity for all motivated people who are thirsty for new achievements to choose their own path of self-realisation and the realisation of bright ideas. I am inspired by the way my colleagues work and the way the eyes of freshmen shine when they approach the tables with great interest, donate, and participate in various interactive activities. The fair also raised funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, namely for a Mavic 3T. The results of the collection and confirmation of the transfer of funds can be found on the pages of the Student Council of the Institute of International Relations in social networks.
