The professor held classes for students of the educational programs "International Business, Commerce and Finance" (from the 2025/26 academic year the new name is "International Commerce and Infections") and "International Economic Relations". The lectures covered key topics in the courses "Principles of Microeconomics", "Fundamentals of International Microeconomics" and "World Economy".

The program of lectures included:

  • General Equilibrium and Economic Efficiency

  • Markets with Asymmetric Information

  • Macroeconomic Effects of the African Continental Free Trade Area

  • Winners and Losers of Trade Wars: The Effects of Trump's Trade War II

Two lectures on global economics were of particular interest: "The Macroeconomic Effects of the African Continental Free Trade Area" and "Winners and Losers of Trade Wars: The Implications of Trump's Second Trade War". These classes were based on Professor Koehler's original research, conducted with the help of sophisticated computable general equilibrium models (CGE models).

The students had a unique opportunity to see how the theoretical concepts of international trade and macroeconomics that they learn in lectures are applied to analyze real economic processes of our time. The professor demonstrated how mathematical modeling can be used to predict the impact of trade agreements and political decisions on the economies of different groups of countries.

The lectures were conducted in English in an online format. Future specialists in international economic relations were able to familiarize themselves with the research methodology adopted by leading European universities and gain experience with English-language economic terms in a professional context.
